Shirley Gould
Author ~ Missionary to Kenya
Shirley Gould speaks from a passionate heart for women from all walks of life. Forty-five years of ministry have taken her around-the-world to teach/preach to the hurting, the broken of all ages—in all settings. Her stories will make you laugh—they’ll bring you to tears as she addresses relevant issues using personal experiences and Biblical truths. Whether it’s a ladies retreat of twelve women or a convention of three thousand, Shirley pours into them to see souls saved, lives changed and women empowered.
She is an author who writes to inspire readers on their Christian walk. Her non-fiction works speak to the trials she has encountered, the miracles she’s experienced and the challenges women face every day. She is also writing Christian fiction manuscripts that point her readers to a personal experience with the Lord.
Shirley served as a missionary in Africa for 14 years. She’s the founder of Kenya’s Kids Home for Street Children in Kitengela, Kenya where 500+ orphans have been rescued from the streets. She is now raising funds for another orphanage on the other side of Kenya for children orphaned during the political clashes in the country. Her passion for the lost keeps her returning to Kenya to preach women’s conferences and conventions, to minister to orphans and to build churches.
Shirley makes her home in the Nashville, Tennessee area. She has three daughters, three sons-in-law and six amazing grand-children.
