Faithfully Different: Regaining Biblical Clarity in a Secular Culture
[Keynote talk]
If you have a biblical worldview, you’re now in a shrinking worldview minority. And the dominant worldview of the culture around us—a strident secularism—is fundamentally at odds with the biblical worldview. This opposing and often hostile secularism is putting extensive pressure on 1) what Christians believe, 2) the ways our beliefs inform how we think, and 3) how we live out our faith. In this talk, Natasha will share how we can each regain clarity on what it means to be faithfully different from today’s culture for 1) the health of our own relationship with the Lord and 2) our ability to effectively be salt and light to others.
Speaking Truth in the Crosshairs of Virtue Signaling and Cancel Culture
[Keynote talk or conference breakout session]
Christians today increasingly feel the tension of wanting to stand up for truth but knowing that they’re subject to being “canceled” by friends, family, work colleagues, and others simply for holding beliefs contrary to the secular moral consensus. In this talk, Natasha will explain the intricate relationship between virtue signaling and cancel culture, and how they function to pressure Christians into silence. She’ll then demonstrate how we can transform that understanding into action and speak truth with conviction and courage.
Dealing with Doubt
[Conference breakout session]
Christians believe that the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God and seek to live our lives accordingly. But what if you start to have doubts that the Bible is the Word of God? What if you start wondering whether everything you believe is false? There are many ways to approach such questions. But if you approach them in the ways that are often glorified in today’s public deconversion accounts, you may well find yourself struggling with or losing your faith for all the wrong reasons. In this talk, Natasha will walk through ten principles for dealing with doubt in a reasoned, methodical, and truth-seeking way.

Raising Kids with Confident Faith in a Secular Culture
[Keynote talk]
It's no secret that large numbers of young people are leaving Christianity, in many cases due to the faith challenges posed by today's secular culture. Unprepared for the claims they hear against the truth of Christianity, they're unable to respond and are left ashamed and confused. In this talk, Natasha explains why teaching kids apologetics is a critical part of the solution, offers a framework for defining what it means to teach apologetics, and gives practical tips for doing so.
Finding Your Voice as a Christian Parent…When the World Wants to Drown You Out
[Keynote talk]
Secular culture is speaking more loudly than ever to kids and is ultimately competing with parents for influence over their kids’ worldview. In light of this reality, how should Christian parents transform the nature of their discipleship to be a more compelling voice in the midst of so much “noise”? This talk will offer a framework for answering that question and provide takeaways parents can begin using immediately.
Practical Ideas for Teaching Apologetics at Home
[Conference breakout session]
Kids need an understanding of apologetics in order to navigate the tough questions they’re certain to encounter from a challenging culture. But what, specifically, can parents do to develop that understanding in everyday life? This session will provide specific and practical ideas to help parents effectively weave apologetics into their ongoing discipleship.
3 Critical Thinking Skills Every Child Should Have
[Conference breakout session]
Every parent should want to raise good thinkers—kids who know how to think, not simply what to think. Learning how to think well about Christianity is especially important given that kids today are being bombarded with conflicting truth claims. This interactive session will 1) introduce three of the most important critical thinking skills kids should have in order to evaluate the truth claims they encounter, and 2) give attendees the opportunity to apply those skills by responding to several practical examples.
